Procedure
Prior to treatment an anaesthetic cream is applied to the treatment area for your comfort. The product is then injected into the skin beneath the wrinkle or lip line. A slight redness may occur around the treated area but this should go within a few hours. Treatment time can be between 40 minutes to an hour depending on the number of lines and wrinkles being treated. Make up can be applied immediately after treatment and you will be able to return straight to work. We do a two-week follow up on all clients who have the above treatment.

How often

Treatment time can be between 15minutes to 30 minutes depending on area being treated.

Mini Injections for fine lines and wrinkles

Prior to this treatment you will need to have a one off consultation with our in house consultant. The Botolyan mini injections are then injected into your skin. A slight redness may occur around the treatment area but this should go within the hour. We advise our clients not to undertake any exercise for 24 hours post treatment and some clients do experience a slight headache. . Make up can be applied immediately after treatment and you will be able to return straight to work. All clients will have a two-week follow up on the above treatment. Hyperhidrosis

This is a condition that causes excess sweating under armpits, hands and feet.
We take referrals from all GPs and consultants. Treatment is only administered after consultation is done.

Thread Vein (IPL)

Thread veins are extremely common and sometimes embarrassing. Thread veins mostly affect the legs and face. At MBA we offer a non-surgical technique to combat thread veins known as IPL (intense pulsed light)
Using IPL the laser is passed over the affected area. A course of treatments might be required depending on the individual.

IPL Hair Removal (intense pulsed light)

Excessive or unsightly body hair can be upsetting for both men and women. There can be many reasons to having excessive hair from hormonal conditions, age and sometimes headtory. There are a variety of methods to remove unwanted hair such as waxing, shaving, electrolysis and threading, but none of these are permanent.
The only medically proven treatment for the removal of unwanted facial and body hair with long lasting results is laser (IPL) hair removal.
 
We have different IPL heads for different hair and skin types and colour. Most parts of the face and body can be treated. The most common areas in women are the face, neck, arms, underarms, bikini, nipples, tummy and legs, and men, the face neck back and chest.

What happens during treatment?

First the nurse will cool the treatment area with a cooling device (Cryo) next; a cold gel will be spread over the treatment area. The Laser is then applied to your skin the light passes through the epidermis and heats the follicles laying below the skin this destroys the regrowth of the follicle. It is necessary to have a course of treatments to achieve the desired end result.

The treatment starts off with using home care products for two weeks prior to treatment. A full treatment consists of a consultation with a skin care programme which is then individually set for you with a course of 6 peels one week apart.

Glycolic Peels can also be done on hands, feet and the décolletage.

MICRODERMABRASION SALT-A-PEEL™

MBA is proud to offer our patients a clinically proven treatment to minimize the appearance of stretch marks, sun damage, acne, fine lines and pigmentation the Macrodermabrasion Salt-A-Peel Process.

First, the skin is treated with Macrodermabrasion which uses salt to gently abrade and exfoliate the upper layers of the skin. (Stratum corneum) This step smoothes and polishes the skin surface. Second, a scientifically formulated solution is applied to the skin and it is penetrated deep into the skin surface with the aid of ultrasonic waves. This solution helps to restore the elasticity in the skin that was lost.

For stretch marks The Salt-A-Peel Process requires a minimum of seven treatments to achieve maximum improvement. The treatments are normally performed every one to two weeks, depending upon the individual.

The result is smoother, less noticeable stretch marks.
